It's official: The Devil Wears Prada really is getting a sequel. Though ideas for a DWP sequel have been percolating for years, fans really began getting their hopes up when Anne Hathaway wore a cerulean blue dress to reunite with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt at the 2024 SAG Awards. By July 2024, Variety reported that a sequel to the 2006 fashion comedy was in early development at Disney, though Hathaway's return to The Princess Diaries universe appeared to take priority once the 42-year-old actor confirmed her involvement in October 2024.
