They have changed the face – and figure – of the dieting industry in recent years. But which of the weight-loss jabs would you choose – Mounjaro or Wegovy? These two weight loss heavy hitters, the brand names for the drugs tirzepatide and semaglutide respectively, have come to dominate the UK market. Online pharmacies Chemist4U and Simple Online Pharmacy estimate that as many as 500,000 people in the UK take either Mounjaro or Wegovy, with Mounjaro winning about a 70 per cent share of sales via online pharmacy prescriptions.
